Sykesville man seriously injured in car crash

A Sykesville man was critically injured when his car veered off a road in western Howard County Wednesday, county police said.

Kenneth Tomlinson, 48, of Bethway Drive was being treated in the critical care unit of Howard County General Hospital yesterday, a spokesman said.

According to police, Mr. Tomlinson was driving his 1986 Nissan truck north on Gaither Road near Sidling Court near the Carroll County line about 11: 45 p.m., when the truck careened off the right side of the road into brush.
