Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Burglary: Two 10-speed bikes were stolen from a garage in the 2700 block of Pelham Ave. on Saturday or yesterday. The value of the bikes was not known.

Assault/arrest: Police arrested a man who struck a woman in the head with a glass bottle in the rear of a house in the 4300 block of Roberton St. yesterday. The woman was not seriously injured.

Northwestern District

Suspicious fire: A one-alarm fire in a house in the 3500 block of Park Heights Ave. yesterday evening caused extensive damage to the dwelling. No injuries were reported. The fire, which was reported at 6: 30 p.m. and declared under control at 6: 57 p.m., was being investigated.

Burglary: Someone entered Dimitri's carryout restaurant in the 4100 block of Patterson Ave. via the roof yesterday and stole an undisclosed sum of money.

Stolen car: A four-door 1995 Honda with tags CLV 454 was stolen Saturday in the 3300 block of Powhatan Ave.

Western District

Stolen car: A 1987 Toyota van with tags 168265 was stolen Saturday in the 1600 block of W. North Ave.

Southwestern District

Stolen car: A 1987 Nissan Maxima with no tags was stolen Saturday in the first block of Calverton Road.

Southern District

Robberies: Three men were walking in the 1300 block of Russell St. early yesterday when several men, some with handguns, demanded their money and property. Police said a 25-year-old man of the 5600 block of Lothian Road was robbed of cash and property, all valued at $150; a 22-year-old man of the 100 block of E. Preston St. was robbed of $25 and a 29-year-old man of the 200 block of W. Read St. was robbed of cash and property, all valued at $25.

Assault: A 36-year-old man from the 2600 block of Round Road in Cherry Hill was at home yesterday morning when two men, one with a handgun, forced their way into his residence and demanded money he reportedly owed them. When the victim told the pair he didn't have the money, the gunman beat him with the weapon and the suspects fled. The victim was in good condition yesterday at Harbor Hospital Center with serious face and chest.

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone valued at $200 was stolen Saturday from a 1968 Toyota parked in the 1100 block of Russell St.

Theft from vehicle/arrests: Police arrested two men who broke into a two-door 1984 Cadillac parked in the 700 block of W. Ostend St. on Saturday and stole a stereo equalizer and a pager, all valued at nearly $200. Police recovered the equalizer from one of the suspects.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A 9 mm semiautomatic handgun valued at $700 and $300 were stolen Saturday night from a house in the 4700 block of Vicky Road.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery try: A 21-year-old Kingsville man was in the 3000 block of Northwind Road on Saturday night when a man armed with a knife demanded his money. When the victim said he had no money, the suspect cut him on the left wrist and fled. The victim was treated at the scene by the crew of a county Fire Department ambulance.

Stolen car: A red 1993 Ford Mustang with tags PATTY B was parked in the 9400 block of Orbitan Court yesterday with the keys in the ignition when someone stole it. At the time of the theft, the car was in possession of a friend of the owner, police said.

Towson Precinct

Stolen car: A two-door 1991 Acura Legend with tags CMZ 454 was stolen Saturday in the 6600 block of Collinsdale Road.

Bank robbery: Two men armed with sawed-off shotguns robbed the First Virginia Bank in the 1300 block of E. Joppa Road on Friday.
