Umberto Eco's "The Name of the Rose." I'm going to buy myself a beer when I get through it. It's pretty heavy stuff, not scholarly, but intellectually challenging - it gets my mind rolling. And "Sublajugo," translated from Esperanto "Under the Yoke," by Bulgarian novelist Ivan Vazov. It's a great early 20th-century historical novel.
