Rangers update:

Texas humiliated the Orioles in Arlington, Texas, last weekend, sweeping three games, including a 26-7 victory April 19. However, the Rangers immediately fell flat, losing two to the Chicago White Sox and two more to the Boston Red Sox. The Rangers still have one of the best records in baseball, at 13-8. Third baseman Dean Palmer, who was 3-for-4 with a homer yesterday, is batting .500 (20-40) in his past 10 games, improving his average from .275 to .344.

Key numbers: Witt is 1-2 with a 6.05 ERA at Camden Yards during his career. . . . Juan Gonzalez has a .296 average at Camden Yards, with five homers. . . . Palmer has seven homers at Oriole Park, more than any other opposing player.
