Pasadena troupe taking winning play on the road

April 26, 1996|By Phil Greenfield , SPECIAL TO THE SUN

They're feeling pretty cheery at the Pasadena Theatre Company these days, and for good reason.

Their production of Lee Falk's intense "Home At Six" is one of only two one-act plays that will represent Maryland at a regional One Act Festival at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa., the first weekend in May.

To raise the money to take theshow on the road, the company is giving a benefit performance of the award-winning play at 4 p.m. Sunday at historic Baldwin Hall in Millersville, with a reception afterward.

The work was named Best Production at the Maryland Community Theatre Festival in February, and the director, Jane Wingard, was presented with the Festival's Excellence in Directing Award. Ed Kuhl, Heather Tuckfield and Susan Weber were named outstanding actors, and the technical crew -- John Guyton, Marty Hayes, Joanne Wilson and Lynn Wilson -- were presented with awards for excellence.

Tickets to the benefit performance are $10 and will be available at the door. Information: 923-7687 or 437-1965.
