Annapolis chamber plans trade show on May 23

The Greater Annapolis Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its "Great Business Exchange," a trade show, from 10 a.m. to 5: 30 p.m. May 23 at Loews Annapolis Hotel.

The speaker will be Anne Arundel County Executive John G. Gary. Seminar topics include "Doing Business on the Internet," "Nine Steps to the Perfect Market Plan" and "Growing Your Home Based Business."

Cable program to feature impact of horse industry

"It's Good Business," the cable television program produced by the Anne Arundel Trade Council and Jones Communications, will feature "The Horse Industry's Impact on Our Economy" this month.

Joe DeFrancis, chief executive officer and president of Laurel Park, will talk about the industry's economic impact on Anne Arundel County and Maryland.

The show airs 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 5 p.m. Thursdays on Jones Communications, Channel 22, and 6: 30 p.m. Mondays on TCI Cablevision of Annapolis, Channel 15.

Dr. Raymond A. Sturnerhas joined Columbia Medical Plan's Annapolis Regional Medical Center. The pediatrician has been a faculty member at Duke University since 1975 and is an associate professor. He lives in Millersville.

Colette C. Storckhas been appointed administrator of Sunrise of Annapolis, an assisted-living community for seniors. She last worked as an administrator at Catonsville Community Convalescent Center.
