Bruins: Their No. 1 goaltender, Bill Ranford, was a late scratch for Monday night's playoff game against Florida because of a sore right ankle. Craig Billington started in his place and allowed six goals in a 6-2 loss to the Panthers. Billington had not started since a Feb. 7 loss to Buffalo. Ray Sheppard, who had a goal and three assists for Florida, now has seven points in the first two games against Boston. Ranford is not expected back for Game 3 in Boston tonight.
