Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Central District

Robbery: A woman was walking near her home the 1000 block of Argyle Ave. on Monday when another woman assaulted and robbed her of $50.

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Madison Park Laundromat in the 700 block of W. North Ave. of $75 Monday. After getting change for a dollar, the gunman left the laundromat. He returned a few minutes later, pulled a handgun and demanded money.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robed a man of nearly $150 Monday in St. Mary's Park near St. Mary Street and Druid Hill Avenue.

Northern District

Burglary: Stereo equipment, a disc changer, 70 compact discs, a videocassette recorder, a radio, two suitcases and a telephone, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen Monday from a house in the 2500 block of Maryland Ave.

Robbery: A man and the child accompanying him were assaulted Monday in the 3000 block of Wylie Ave. and the man robbed of $20. The man suffered arm and head injuries and the child was struck in the face. Their attacker was armed with a handgun and an ice pick.

Burglary: A checkbook, TV, phone, answering machine, two watches and other property, all valued at nearly $500, were stolen Monday from a house in the 300 block of Homeland Ave.

Northwestern District

Burglary: A lap-top computer valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services in the 6700 block of Reisterstown Road between April 18 and Monday.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery try: A 31-year-old woman was walking in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road Monday night when a woman got out of a 1994 Ford Taurus with tags CWZ 597 and tried to steal her purse. The suspect drove off in the car, which was reported stolen in the city.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A rifle, 600 rounds of ammunition, a 12-gauge shotgun and a crossbow were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 1600 block of Williams Ave. Stolen from the victim's car were shotgun shells and a roll of quarters. Total value of the property was more than $2,000.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Consumer Pulse in the 5700 block of Baltimore National Pike after breaking a lock Monday and stole two VCRs valued at more than $500.

Robbery: A gunman robbed Chadwick Cleaners in the 5800 block of Johnnycake Road of more than $50 Monday.
