Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Southeastern District

Arson: An exterior door of a vacant meeting hall at Iglesia Episcopal Church in the 1000 block of S. Potomac St. was set on fire about 5 a.m. yesterday. Damage was estimated at $200.

Shooting: A Dundalk resident was in the 600 block of N. Chapel St. about 3 a.m. yesterday when he was approached by two men, one with a handgun, who shot him in the lower back. The victim hailed an unlicensed cab, went home and called police. He was in stable condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Police knew of no motive for the shooting.

Southern District

Theft from auto: Stereo equipment and a compact disc player, all valued at $300, were stolen Saturday from a 1984 Chevrolet parked in the 600 block of S. Hanover St.

Stolen car: A 1990 Honda with tags ZTP 914 was stolen yesterday in the 1000 block of William St.

Northern District

Burglary: A power lawn mower and a mountain bike, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen between Friday and yesterday from a garage in the 3900 block of Juniper Road.

Northeastern District

Theft from auto: Clothing, sports equipment, a wallet and cash, all valued at $200, were stolen Saturday from a vehicle in the 3200 block of The Alameda.

Robbery: A 16-year-old boy was in the 7500 block of Harford Road on Saturday when he was pushed to the pavement by three men who robbed him of a radio and pager, all valued at more than $100.

Northwestern District

Carjacking: A 31-year-old woman was driving her 1993 Mazda in the 3100 block of W. Belvedere Ave. on Friday when she was stopped by a gunman, who robbed her of gold and silver jewelry, then forced her from the vehicle and drove away. The car's tag number was not available.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Someone forced open a rear door and entered the Hair Cuttery in the 7900 block of Honeygo Blvd. near White Marsh Mall Friday night or Saturday morning. A tape from a security camera and $300 were stolen.

Towson

Robbery: A gunman stole money from the cash register and a drawer at the Royal Farm store in the 7200 block of York Road on Friday night.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: The door of a storage shed in the 2700 block of Smith Ave. was destroyed Saturday, and a power lawn mower was stolen from inside. Police said damage was estimated at $200.

For the Record

Body found: A city cleanup crew found the body of an unidentified man in his 20s about 11 a.m. Saturday in the woods near the 5000 block of Franklintown Road in Leakin Park. Police said the man appeared to have been shot fatally and that autopsy results were expected today.
