UMass springs upset, making No. 6 Irish 0-3 at home Travis scores four goals as Towson romps, 17-5

Four different Massachusetts players scored in a pivotal 4-0 fourth-quarter run as the No. 15 Minutemen upset No. 6 Notre Dame, 8-5, at Alumni Field in Notre Dame, Ind.

Brendan Glass scored two goals to lead Massachusetts (6-4). The Fighting Irish, who are 0-3 at home this season, got two goals from Brian Gilfillan.

Notre Dame tied the game at 4-4 just 2 1/2 minutes into the fourth quarter on a goal by Tony Reid.

The Minutemen, who hadn't scored for a 25-minute span, broke the tie 48 seconds later when Ken Sussi scored. Massachusetts then ran out to an 8-4 lead midway through the fourth quarter.

Towson State 17, New Hampshire 5: Kevin Travis scored four goals as Towson State (6-4) routed visiting New Hampshire (7-4). The Tigers, who were playing in their third game in four days, outshot the Wildcats, 67-27.

Towson State sprinted out to a 12-3 lead near the end of the third quarter. The Tigers' defense held the Wildcats scoreless for 31: 51, a period that stretched from the end of the first quarter to near the end of the third.

Matt Clune and Kevin Sturm each added three goals for Towson State.

Princeton 19, Cornell 6: Jesse Hubbard scored a career-best seven goals and added two assists to lead No. 2 Princeton (8-1) over visiting Cornell (3-8). The Tigers, who have won seven straight, clinched at least a share of the Ivy League title.

Princeton had to rally from a 4-1 deficit against the Big Red, outscoring Cornell 18-2 over the final 55 minutes.

Cornell had scored four goals in the first five minutes after the Tigers had allowed only three first-quarter goals in their previous four Ivy League games.

Syracuse 20, Penn 11: Jim Morrissey scored four goals as No. 7 Syracuse (8-3) toppled host Penn. The Orangemen outshot the Quakers, 65-43.

Brown 17, Dartmouth 6: Robin Prince scored five goals and Josh Selig added three more as No. 8 Brown (6-4) routed No. 18 Dartmouth (4-4) in Providence, R.I. Bears goalkeeper Greg Cattrano ran the length of the field to score his second career goal.

Bucknell 11, Colgate 3: Dan Kelly scored two first-quarter goals to help No. 10 Bucknell (10-0) to its first Patriot League title, downing visiting Colgate (6-5). The Bison, the lone remaining undefeated team in Division I, surrendered just one goal in the second half.
