Severn woman is robbed at gunpoint outside store

April 19, 1996

A bandit wearing a black ski mask and a check flannel shirt robbed a 17-year-old Severn woman at gunpoint Wednesday of an undetermined amount of money, county police said.

The woman, of the 1400 block of Pride Tree Circle, was getting out of her car at a 7-Eleven in the 500 block of Donaldson Ave. about 8: 30 p.m. when the masked man approached, pulled out a gun and demanded cash, police said. She gave the man money and he ran away, police said.

The woman, whom police did not identify, described her assailant as white, in his late 20s, 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build and light brown shoulder-length hair. She told police he was wearing a blue-and-black-check flannel shirt and light-blue jeans.
