25 years ago (week of April 11-17, 1971):

The Howard County Farm Bureau presented the planning board with a proposal for Planned Rural Conservation Districts. Also known as cluster zoning, the plan would allow farmers to sell a portion of their land for development, while leaving adjoining areas as farmland or open space.

50 years ago (week of April 7-13, 1946):

The Lisbon Minute Men, Company 770, formally disbanded at a final meeting held at Lisbon High School. All members were presented with honorable discharge papers.
