Community open house is set for Belair-Edison

The Belair-Edison Housing Service will hold its fourth annual community open house Sunday, April 28.

Fifty homes will be open to prospective buyers.

Sale prices start around $50,000. Belair-Edison surrounds Herring Run Park, with miles of wooded biker/hiker trails, ball fields, picnic areas, and plants and wildlife.

Home shoppers can stop by the Belair-Edison Housing Service Office at 3412 Belair Road on April 28 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. for light refreshments, a map to open houses, and a certificate worth $75 toward a home appraisal.

The Northeast Baltimore community, along Belair Road and Erdman Avenue, is 15 minutes from downtown.

Many of the rowhouses in the community were built between 1920 and 1930.

The neighborhood has one of the highest homeownership rates in the city, 81 percent, and median household income of $33,000.
