Woman is charged with drug possession

April 12, 1996

A Glen Burnie woman was arrested in Freetown on drug charges after she pulled out two bags of crack cocaine and handed them to officers, police said.

Latasha Ann Jackson, 33, of the 300 block of Kess Circle was charged with possession of crack cocaine.

Police were called to the 7800 block of Levy Court about 7 p.m. Tuesday by a resident who said that a woman who had been banned from the neighborhood the night before was in a nearby apartment.

The caller also told police the woman had crack cocaine hidden in her right sock, police said. Officers went to an apartment, found the door open and saw the woman whom they had banned from the apartments a day earlier for an unspecified violation.

They asked the woman if she had any drugs, and she reached into her sock and pulled out two bags of what later tested positive for crack cocaine, police said. Police said she was arrested and another bag of crack cocaine was found in her sock.
