Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Northern District

Theft from auto: A cellular car phone was stolen Wednesday from a 1993 Honda parked in the first block of W. University Parkway.

Robbery: A resident of the 1300 block of E. Cold Spring Lane was about to enter his apartment Wednesday night when two men assaulted him and robbed him of cash and property, all valued at $900.

Stolen car: A red 1992 Plymouth Sundance with tags DBG 024 was stolen Wednesday in the 1000 block of St. Dunstans Road.

Northeastern District

Robbery: Three men, one with a handgun, robbed a man of his wallet and more than $100 Wednesday near his home in the 2000 block of Ramblewood Road.

Robbery try/assault: A resident of the 1200 block of Roundhill Road was near his home Wednesday when he was stopped by three men who demanded his money. Before the victim could comply, one of the men struck him with a metal pipe. All three fled without robbing the victim, who was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital for minor head injuries.

Western District

Burglary: A videocassette recorder and compact disc player, all valued at more than $200, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of N. Smallwood St.

Assault: A 26-year-old man was in the 1100 block of N. Calhoun St. on Wednesday when he was attacked by two men, one with a handgun. During the incident, the gunman struck the victim in the face and head. The victim was treated for injuries at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A 34-year-old man was in the 4300 block of Sidehill Road on Wednesday when a man wearing dark clothing and a ski mask shot him in the head. The victim was in stable condition yesterday at St. Agnes Hospital.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking a man who entered a house in the 200 block of Sollers Point Road on Wednesday and stole a videocassette recorder and microwave oven, all valued at nearly $600.

Towson Precinct

Stolen car/recovered: Someone stole a 1990 Dodge Shadow parked in the 7500 block of Hillsway on Wednesday, drove it a few blocks and abandoned it on Greenway Road.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A bike and skiing equipment were stolen Wednesday from a garage in the 17200 block of Hunter Green Road.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A woman was about to enter her home in the 3200 block of Blue Hill Road on Wednesday night when a man placed the muzzle of a handgun to the back of her head and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $100.
