Someone broke into a car owned by the Naval Investigative Service while it was in front of a house in Pasadena Monday night and stole a bulletproof vest and a raid jacket, county police said.
Paul E. Leo, 40, of the 100 block of Oak Road, told police he went to the 1990 Oldsmobile Achieva shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday and found the right front window smashed and the vest and a blue nylon raid jacket missing.
