Spring is the season for these ravens to perform

THE RAVENS may be preparing to play football in Baltimore, but in Central County, these feathered heavyweights have been hustling their opponents for weeks.

I thought their cousins, the crows, were nuisance enough with their ear-splitting cry, but the ravens, larger and pushier, send everyone else to the showers while they strut and preen among the spring blossoms like a running back in the end zone after a touchdown.

Will workshop

A free workshop to help you prepare a living will begins at 1 p.m., Monday at the Severna Park branch library.

Conducted by attorney Greg Howard of Franch, Jarashow and Howard, P.A., and Lyn Sutton of the American Cancer Society, the workshop will provide the latest information, including medical directives used by hospitals for admission.

For information, contact the American Cancer Society, 721-4304.

Uniform sale

Recycling uniforms is a way of life in private school. Even though next year will be the last for the old style uniforms at Archbishop Spalding High School, there is still a demand.

Spalding conducts its annual used uniform sale in the bookstore from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., April 20.

Information: 551-2279.
