Today's TV

So, what made the censors all nervous back in the mid-'70s? The answer's on TNT this afternoon.

"Married With Children" (6: 30 p.m.-7 p.m., WBFF, Channel 45) -- The Bundys crash an airport VIP lounge that's apparently the place where rock musicians from the '60s hang out between revival tours. Among the inhabitants: Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits), Robbie Krieger (The Doors), John Sebastian (The Lovin' Spoonful), Richie Havens and Spencer Davis.

"Ellen" (8 p.m.-8: 30 p.m., WMAR, Channel 2) -- In this repeat, Princess Leia herself, Carrie Fisher, plays the star of a film being shot at Ellen's bookstore. Its director: Paige (Joely Fisher, Carrie's real-life half-sister). ABC.

"Prince George's County: A 300-Year Journey" (8 p.m.-9 p.m., MPT, Channels 22 and 67) -- Gov. Parris Glendening's home county celebrates its tricentennial this year, so MPT is contributing to the festivities with this look at its history. An eye-opener for those who think PG is just a place the USAir Arena calls home.

"The Deliverance of Elaine" (9 p.m.-11 p.m., WJZ, Channel 13) -- Mare Winningham plays a small-town schoolteacher whose life is complicated by the three men vying for her attention. CBS.

Cable

"Charlie's Angels" (1 p.m.-2 p.m., TNT) -- Boy, did this episode cause a furor when it was first aired. "Angels in Chains" has Farrah, Jaclyn and Kate -- the originals -- go undercover at a women's prison, where they are scrubbed, de-liced and otherwise treated less-than-angelically. You don't see much, but the suggestion of skin was all that was necessary to raise some folks' ire. Watch for Kim Basinger in a supporting role.

"The Haunting of Lisa" (9 p.m.-11 p.m., Lifetime) -- A silly plot keeps dragging this movie down, but Cheryl Ladd is actually pretty good as a mother trying to cope with her young daughter's extra-sensory powers.

"Doctor Zhivago" (9 p.m.-12: 30 a.m., TCM) -- Wish Omar Sharif a happy birthday by watching his most famous starring role, as the unfortunate Russian physician and poet in David Lean's overlong, but beautifully photographed, 1965 epic. Bonus: The film's being shown in letter-box format.

"Dream On" (9: 30 p.m.-2: 30 a.m., HBO) -- Up for all 10 episodes of the show's final season? Here they are, strung together back-to-back-to-back-to "Late Night with David Letterman" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., E!) -- It's night two of a week's worth of "Letterman" repeats featuring Howard Stern. Watch, if you dare.

"For All Mankind" (10 p.m.-11 p.m., repeats 1 a.m.-2 a.m., The Learning Channel) -- Thirteen men who walked on the moon discuss the experience and offer insights into the greatest adventure story of the 20th century.

"The Paper Chase" (11 p.m.-midnight, Nostalgia) -- John Goodman, who would go on to achieve fame and fortune as Roseanne's TV husband, is among the guest stars as Ford is investigated by the state bar association for practicing law without a license.
