BWI to Myrtle Beach for $59 one way

Starting May 24, Jet Express, a regularly scheduled charter service, will begin offering nonstop flights from Baltimore-Washington International Airport to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for as low as $59 one way.

The company's decision to serve the popular beach and golf resort came shortly after it announced plans to offer service from Baltimore to Savannah, Ga., starting May 16.

The flight to Myrtle Beach will leave BWI every day except Tuesday at 2: 30 p.m., and the return flight will leave Myrtle Breach at 12: 15 p.m. Fares are unrestricted, with no Saturday stay or advance ticket purchase requirements.

Depending on availability, Jet Express fares to Myrtle Beach could climb as high as $129 one way. Tickets will be nonrefundable, but can be changed for a $25 fee. Service to Myrtle Beach will be provided on a 122-seat, Boeing 737-200.

Jet Express, a subsidiary of the Atlanta-based tour operator World Technology Systems, has been operating since February 1995.

The airline targets tourist destination cities where air service has been cut, where it deems fares too high or where there is no nonstop service.
