Amonte, Maryland defeat JMU, 8-3 Women

Kelly Amonte scored three goals and added an assist to pace top-ranked Maryland to an 8-3 victory over No. 6 and host James Madison yesterday in a women's lacrosse game.

Amonte became the all-time leader in goals (160) and assists (108) for the Terps (10-0), who have won 27 straight games.

Megan Riley scored two goals for the Dukes (5-5).

Old Dominion 12, UMBC 2: Lauren Catania scored four goals to help Old Dominion (5-5) defeat visiting UMBC (2-7). The Monarchs scored the first two goals only three minutes into the game.

The Retrievers were outshot 24-15.

Ithaca 13, Frostburg State 9: Amanda Mabee had three goals and three assists as host Ithaca (7-1) beat Frostburg State (1-1).

Goucher 14, Salisbury State 12: Michele Mohlman scored four goals as Goucher (2-0) topped host Salisbury State (0-2). The Gophers are ranked No. 10 in Division III.
