A 25-year-old man was shot fatally in West Baltimore #i yesterday afternoon while driving his car, police said.

Police are looking for the suspect who fled in a 1994 or 1995 gray Acura Legend. No motive is yet known for the shooting, which occurred at 4: 40 p.m. at the intersection of Athol Avenue and Old Frederick Road, police say.

The victim, whose name was not released because his family had not been notified last night, was struck through the car window as he drove. The car he was driving jumped a curb, crossed a basketball court and struck an embankment.

Boy, 15, stabbed in eye in fight with sister over cake

A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the left eye in a dispute with his 13-year-old sister over a piece of cake yesterday afternoon, police said.

The boy was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, and police charged the girl with assault with intent to maim. She later was released to her mother. Because they are juveniles, police did not release the names of the brother and sister, who live on the 8100 block of Meade Village Road.

Police said that the boy was upset that his sister had eaten some of his cake, which a friend had been given to him. The brother was cut in the left eye with a 10-inch steak knife, police said. They said the wound was not serious.
