Shorebirds triumph with 2nd shutout, 6-0

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Three Delmarva pitchers combined on a four-hitter for the second consecutive night, as the Shorebirds defeated the Charleston River Dogs, 6-0, last night in a Single-A South Atlantic League game.

Shorebirds starter Javier Vazquez, 19, pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out nine and allowing one hit, an infield single.

Four of the Shorebirds' runs were unearned, as Charleston committed eight errors. Fernando Seguignol's three hits, including a triple, led Delmarva.
