Blues: G Grant Fuhr, hobbled by a strained right knee, did not make the trip to Colorado for Wednesday's game with the Avalanche, ending his NHL-record streak at 76 consecutive starts. St. Louis, with Jon Casey in the net, defeated Colorado, 6-3.

Senators: Damian Rhodes stopped Martin Straka's penalty shot with 9.6 seconds remaining to preserve Ottawa's 3-2 victory over Florida.

Kings: Kelly Hrudey made 46 saves against the NHL-leading Red Wings as Los Angeles and Detroit played to a 2-2 tie. The Red Wings outshot the Kings, 48-24.
