Flyers: Joel Otto scored two goals, including a short-handed goal, in Philadelphia's 6-2 victory over the New York Islanders Tuesday. . . . The Flyers scored three short-handed goals, two in a 1: 09 span of the same penalty, as they won their sixth in a row.

Islanders: Right wing Todd Bertuzzi sat out the first game of a three-game suspension Tuesday night for wrestling with a linesman. Bertuzzi missed the Islanders' 6-2 loss to Philadelphia. He also will miss games tomorrow at Ottawa and Saturday at home against Buffalo. . . . Zigmund Palffy became the 10th player in New York Islanders history to reach the 40-goal plateau. Palffy scored in the first period.
