Bucknell tops Navy on late goal, 6-5

Dan Kelley scored the game-winner with 5: 08 remaining last night to lead No. 17 Bucknell past Navy, 6-5, before 611 at Rip Miller Field in Annapolis.

The Midshipmen (3-5), who have lost eight straight to nationally ranked teams, put only 10 of its 35 shots on goal.

With 1: 04 left before halftime, Mike Newton gave Navy a 4-3 lead, which stood for 19 1/2 minutes as both teams were held scoreless.

Jon Methven then tied the game for Bucknell (6-0), scoring 2 1/2 minutes into the fourth quarter.

Kelley scored 7 1/2 minutes later to give the Bison their first lead of the second half.

Princeton 19, Penn 4: Todd Eichelberger scored all three of his goals in the first quarter to help No. 3 Princeton (5-1, 2-0 Ivy League) rout visiting Penn (3-6, 0-3).

Hobart 16, Colgate 6: Paul Lyle and Eric Curry scored five goals apiece, and No. 19 Hobart (2-3) ended its two-game losing streak, topping visiting Colgate (3-4).

St. Joseph's 14, Mount St. Mary's 8: Mike Broome had four goals and an assist to lift host St. Joseph's (2-6) over the Mount (3-5).
