Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Southeastern District

Theft from vehicle: Stereo equipment, a compact disc player and stereo speakers, all valued at more than $2,500, were stolen yesterday from a van parked in the 2000 block of Gough St.

Eastern District

Shooting: Two men were shot Monday night during an attempted armed robbery by two other men in the 1700 block of N. Collington Ave. Both victims -- one from the 1400 block of N. Gay St. and the other from the 2000 block of E. North Ave. -- were in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Northeastern District

Stabbing: A 23-year-old resident of the 1100 block of Newcombe Way in Armistead Gardens remained in critical condition today at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after he was stabbed in the chest Saturday during an incident in the 1000 block of Lerew Way, also in Armistead Gardens.

Northwestern District

Stolen car: A blue 1993 Dodge Shadow with tags CND225 was stolen Monday in the 3200 block of Milford Ave.

Western District

Theft from vehicle: A videocassette recorder, compact disc player, several compact discs and VCR tapes, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Monday from a bus parked in the 2600 block of Baker St.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A 49-year-old man was in the 2900 block of Buena Vista St. on Monday when a man armed with a knife robbed him of $38.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A portable television valued at $400 was stolen Monday from a house in the 500 block of Theresa Ave.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Property valued at $700 was stolen Monday from a house in the 4600 block of Horizon Circle. Taken were a steam cleaner and tire chains.

Theft: A trailer and the Webcraft-model boat it was carrying were stolen Monday from the 100 block of Westminster Road in Reisterstown.

Stolen car: A blue 1995 Buick Park Avenue with handicap tags 42441 was stolen Monday in the 4000 block of Villa Nova Road.

Theft: Two hundred windows were stolen Monday from a house under construction in the 5000 block of Triplett Road in Owings Mills. The windows were being stored in the house.

Woodlawn Precinct

Bank robbery: An employee of NationsBank in the 6400 block of Security Blvd. was leaving the bank at 3 p.m. Monday when a gunman forced her back inside and ordered her to give him money from a cash drawer. The man escaped with an undisclosed sum and drove off in a two-tone blue Ford F-250 pickup truck.
