Anne McDonnell Ford Johnson,76, a member of the White House Fine Arts Committee during the Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations who helped restore Blair House in Washington, died of stroke complications Friday in New York.

Rabbi Leon Kronish,79, a voice in Reform Judaism and a leader and past national chairman of the State of Israel Bonds drives, died March 23 at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He lived in Miami Beach, Fla.

Leo Politi,86, an award-winning children's book author, artist and illustrator known for depicting scenes of Los Angeles' Victorian age and writing about the city's landmarks, was found dead March 25 last Monday in his Los Angeles home. He won the Caldecott Medal for his 1949 book "The Mission Bell," about the swallows' annual return to the mission at San Juan Capistrano.
