Outlook: The Senators are 15-54-4, the worst record in the Eastern Conference and second-worst in the league. Ottawa was outshot 36-18 in a 4-2 loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday. RW Daniel Alfredsson leads the Senators with 21 goals and 29 assists. The Capitals boosted their playoff hopes with Wednesday's 1-0 victory in Montreal. They are in a scramble with the Canadiens, Boston, New Jersey and Tampa Bay for the final four playoff spots in the East. Peter Bondra (44 goals, 25 assists) and Michal Pivonka (14, 55) lead Washington in scoring. G Jim Carey leads the league with eight shutouts.
