Laurel man mugged, robbed of wallet

A Laurel man was assaulted and robbed of his wallet early yesterday near the Maryland City Volunteer Fire Department by three young men, county police said.

Robert Allen Fullmer, 28, of the 3300 block of Style Ave. was not injured.

Mr. Fullmer told police he was standing next to his car in the 8500 block of Laurel Dale Drive about 3 a.m. when three young men came up from behind and pushed him to the ground.

One of the men took his wallet, which contained credit cards and a checkbook, police said. Mr. Fullmer pursued the three men, but they got away in a waiting car.
