Amonte sets Terps scoring record in 18-2 romp Five goals, three assists give her 151 points

Kelly Amonte scored five goals and added three assists to lead Maryland over visiting UMBC, 18-2, last night in a women's lacrosse game in College Park.

Amonte's eight points give her 151 for her career, breaking the school record of 150 by Judy Dougherty (1978-81).

The Terps (7-0) have won 24 straight games. The Retrievers (1-4) were outshot 35-6.

Loyola 15, American 2: Allison Valentino had two goals and two assists to lead fifth-ranked Loyola (6-0, 3-0) to a Colonial Athletic Association victory over American (0-3, 0-1).

Johns Hopkins 13, Gettysburg 11: Francine Brennan had three goals and four assists to help Johns Hopkins (3-1) over visiting Gettysburg (2-1).

Rutgers 6, Towson State 3: Brandy Bailey's two goals and three assists led host Rutgers (2-3) over Towson State (3-3)

College of Notre Dame 15, Hood 6: Teri Tobash scored five to power visiting College of Notre Dame (4-1) past Hood (1-3).

Western Maryland 10, Dickinson 8: Denise Sarver scored the only two goals of the overtime period to lift host Western Maryland (1-0) over Dickinson (0-2).

Goucher 18, Hartwick 15: Kristin Carey had six goals and three assists to power Goucher (6-1) past visiting Hartwick (2-1).

Swarthmore 15, Washington College 5: Kristen Osborne had four goals as visiting Swarthmore (4-0) downed Washington (0-3).
