Boy, 2, runs into path of truck, is injured

A 2-year-old Manchester boy was released from the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Trauma Center in Baltimore Sunday after being treated for injuries sustained when he ran in front of a pickup truck outside his Main Street home.

Witnesses told state police that the boy darted from between parked cars into the path of a 1983 Ford truck driven by Russell Irvin Hensley, 66, of the 4200 block of N. Hunter Road in Hampstead at about 2: 45 p.m. Saturday.

Mr. Hensley was not charged, state police said yesterday.

Fire

Hampstead: Hampstead re- sponded at 12: 56 p.m. Sunday to a brush fire at Route 30 and Sterling Court. Units were out 14 minutes.
