Man, woman charged in fight with officer

March 26, 1996

A Millersville couple was arrested Saturday on charges stemming from a struggle with a police officer who had been called to their mobile home off Crownsville Road to settle a domestic dispute.

Kevin T. Gallagher, 36, of the Summer Hill Trailer Park, was charged with assault with intent to murder. Peggy Lawler, 35, of the same address, was charged with battery, resisting arrest, and hindering police.

Officer Daniel A. Sereboff was treated for minor cuts at North Arundel Hospital and released.

Police said Officer Sereboff was called to the address shortly before 1: 30 a.m. because of a domestic dispute. While the officer was interviewing the man, the woman allegedly attacked him.

When Officer Sereboff tried to arrest the woman, the man attacked the officer and threw him through a window, police said.

The two struggled until Officer Sereboff sprayed the man with pepper spray and arrested him, police said.
