Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Northwestern District

Stolen car: A four-door silver-colored 1986 Chevrolet Nova with tags BZN 844 was stolen Sunday in the 3900 block of Chatham Road.

Robbery: A gunman robbed Estate Jewelry Inc. in the 6500 block of Reisterstown Road of jewelry of unknown value Sunday.

Stolen car: A four-door 1988 Chevrolet with tags CPM 050 was stolen Sunday in the 3000 block of Romaric Court.

Western District

Shooting: A 25-year-old man was in the 500 block of N. Monroe St. on Sunday when he was shot in the back several times by one of two men who escaped. The victim was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Theft from auto: A cellular phone valued at $300 was stolen Sunday from a 1986 Mercedes Benz 190E parked in the 2200 block of N. Payson St.

Arson: Someone set fire to the outside wall of George C. Kelson Elementary School in the 700 block of Gold St. on Sunday, causing minor damage.

Theft from auto: A cellular phone valued at more than $200 was stolen Sunday from a city police officer's private car parked in the 1800 block of W. Fayette St.

Robbery: A woman was in the 2200 block of W. North Ave. on Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed her of gold jewelry, a wallet and cash, all of unknown value.

Robbery: A 39-year-old Catonsville woman was in the 2000 block of Clifton Ave. on Sunday when a man approached her from behind, said "Hello," then stole her purse.

Assault: Police were seeking two men who attacked a 52-year-old man in the 2200 block of Ruskin Ave. on Sunday and struck him several times with a length of wood, causing head injuries. The victim was treated at Liberty Medical Center and released.

Northeastern District

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 4100 block of Balfern Ave. through a basement window Sunday and stole property valued at more than $5,000.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking a known suspect who entered a house in the 7200 block of Holabird Ave. Sunday night through the front door and broke a porcelain jewelry box. Police said the incident may have resulted from a domestic problem.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Computer equipment, a compact disc and a watch, all valued at more than $4,000, were stolen Sunday from an apartment in the 7700 block of Greenview Terrace.

Burglary: A cassette player and a radio, all valued at more than $300, were stolen Sunday from a room at Goucher College in the 1000 block of Dulaney Valley Road.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: A four-door teal 1993 Chevrolet Geo Prism with tags CAN 805 was stolen Sunday in the 11700 block of Terrytown Drive in Reisterstown.

Burglary: Someone entered a storage freezer at the Wendy's restaurant in the 8600 block of Liberty Road on Sunday and stole hamburger meat and rolls, all valued at more than $200.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking youths who entered Maiden Choice Elementary School in the 4900 block of Maiden Choice Lane on Sunday and stole several towels, which they took outside and spread on the lawn.
