March 25, 1996

A Finksburg man was charged with armed robbery in a holdup of the E-Z Minute Mart in Hampstead on Saturday, state police in Westminster said.

State police said that Daniel V. Childers, 20, of the 2500 block of Lawndale Road also is a suspect in two armed robberies in the area during the past two weeks.

State police said a man entered the Hampstead store about 9: 30 p.m., approached a clerk, displayed a gun and demanded money.

The man fled after the clerk gave him an undisclosed amount, state police said.

Police said they had no details on the other robberies.
