Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Southern District

Stag party raided: Police broke up a stag party Saturday afternoon at a restaurant in the 1100 block of E. Patapsco Ave. and seized more than $7,000 in illegal gambling money and gave the names of 20 people, including several women, to the city state's attorney's office for possible prosecution for solicitation for sex and gambling without a permit. Police learned of the affair, billed as a birthday party, and placed undercover officers in the building. At a signal, the officers identified themselves and detained the men who were running the event and the women. No patrons were detained. Police said the restaurant was not involved in the party.

Northeastern District

Stolen car: A 1993 Ford Mustang with tags 061 AVW was stolen Saturday in the 6500 block of Belair Road.

Burglary/arrest: Police arrested a teen-age boy who entered a house in the 3000 block of Kenyon Ave. on Saturday and stole property valued at more than $700. The property was recovered.

Burglary: A red and gray power lawn mower valued at more than $600 was stolen between Wednesday and Saturday from a garage in the 1200 block of E. 35th St.

Northern District

Theft: While the occupant of a house in the 900 block of Belgian Ave. was sleeping Saturday, someone entered the residence and stole two wallets containing credit cards and a small sum of money.

Stolen car: A 1990 Ford Probe with tags CAL 191 was stolen Saturday in the 400 block of Rosebank Ave.

Western District

Drug arrest: Police spotted a 27-year-old man in the 1100 block of N. Carrollton Ave. on Saturday in possession of suspected heroin and arrested him.

Burglary: Nearly $200 was stolen Saturday from the bedroom dresser of a house in the 700 block of N. Fulton Ave. Entry was gained through a third-floor window.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A Yellow Cab driver was robbed of $20 Saturday by two men he picked up in the 5100 block of Dickey Hill Road. Shortly after the men got into the cab, one pulled a handgun and ordered the driver to hand over his money. After the men escaped, the cabbie drove off, but lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole. He was not injured.

Shooting: A 14-year-old girl from the 600 block of Grantley Ave. was looking out of a window of her home Saturday evening when one of several bullets fired near Harlem Avenue and Edgewood Street went through the window and struck her in the upper left chest. She was in good condition yesterday in the pediatric intensive care unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest has been made.

Robbery: Police were seeking a resident of the 3500 block of Clifton Ave. who robbed a 28-year-old resident of the 3000 block of Fairview Ave. of a watch valued at $80 and $25 in cash during an incident Saturday in the suspect's house. The victim suffered facial injuries and was treated at Liberty Medical Center.

Parkville Precinct

Vehicles vandalized: The tires were slashed and the windows and tail lights on the driver's side of at least 40 vehicles were shattered Friday night and Saturday morning in the Cub Hill section. Police said vehicles were parked on Waltham Woods and Ontario roads, Ranger Court, Walder Drive and Superior and Montego avenues. Total damage was estimated at more than $3,000. Police at the White Marsh Precinct also reported vandalism to cars in that area during the same period, but more information was unavailable.

Essex Precinct

Carjacking: A 35-year-old Essex man was stopped for a traffic light at Back River Neck Road and Eastern Avenue Saturday night when a man forced his way into his 1977 Ford van and ordered him to drive to the parking lot at Chesapeake High School in the 1800 block of Turkey Point Road. There, the intruder tried to rob the motorist but failed when the motorist sprayed him in the face with a chemical irritant. After forcing the driver from the van, the intruder drove off. The intruder and the van with tags 393058M were being sought.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the High's dairy store in the 2000 block of Merritt Blvd. Saturday night of more than $100.

Assault: Police were seeking several youths who attacked a 37-year-old Dundalk man in the 2600 block of Yorkway on Saturday and struck him several times with a length of wood. Police knew of no motive for the attack. The victim refused medical treatment.
