Catonsville is fourth in national tourney

DANVILLE, Ill. - Freshman D. J. Ward scored 29 points to power Catonsville Community College (28-6) past visiting Central College (Kansas) to a 92-87 overtime win in the consolation round of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II tournament last night.

Catonsville finished fourth and Central College (25-9) was sixth.

Catonsville trailed 78-77 until sophomore James Lewis went 1-for-2 from the foul line with 2.5 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

Ward scored the next three field goals in the first three minutes of overtime. Ward and Lewis made the all-tournament team.
