For children's books, my all time favorite is "Secret Garden," (by Francis Burnett). "Everyone Poops," by Taro Gomi was just translated from Japanese. It's hilarious, and the illustrations are beautiful. ... Right now I'm reading "The Dream of Water," by Kyoko Mori. And I'm constantly reading "Taking Charge," by Irene Pollin and Susan Golant which is about dealing with terinal illness. I have cancer, it's like a bible to me. ...
I have a very simple mind, that's why I've worked with children all my life, so I look for books that really move, that have enough action so I won't fall asleep.
