Little Patuxent Ridge

1. Feaga Custom Homes has opened a model of the Canterbury at Little Patuxent Ridge at Fonthill in Ellicott City, where the firm is building 10 brick-front homes on half-acre wooded lots. Seven floor plans are available in the Howard County community, which has gas heat.

The houses are being built under the Baltimore Gas and Electric Co.'s EnergyWi$e program, which seeks to lower energy costs by using high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment, better insulation and windows, and other features.

An 18-by-17-foot living room, two-story foyer, powder and laundry rooms and a two-car garage occupy the front of the Canterbury. Across the rear are an 18-by-15-foot family room with fireplace, 15-by-11 breakfast room and 15-by-10-foot kitchen.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet, 16-by-13-foot bedroom, and bath with dual vanities, a whirlpool tub and separate shower. Two storage areas, a full hall bath and three more bedrooms complete this level.

There is an unfinished basement in the 2,700-square-foot home.

A base-price Canterbury at Little Patuxent Ridge at Fonthill is $319,900.

With such optional items as a flagstone front walk and patio, nine-foot ceilings, hardwood floors in the living and dining room, a lattice wine rack, landscaping package, and chair railing and crown molding in the dining room, the model is priced at $339,450.

At 2,400 square feet, the Lexington is the smallest house Feaga is building at Font Hill. It has a beginning price of $300,400.

The first floor has a 14-by-12-foot dining room, 15-by-13-foot living room, 17-by-14-foot family room, 14-by-9-foot breakfast nook, 15-by-10-foot kitchen with pantry, two closets, a laundry room and a two-car garage.

On the second floor, the master suite has a 17-by-18-foot bedroom, walk-in closet, and bath with dual vanities, separate shower and whirlpool tub. There is a full hall bath and three additional bedrooms.

2. Ryan Homes has opened its eighth building at Southfield in White Marsh, where the builder has sold 16 two-bedroom condominiums since the first of the year. Ryan is building 132 condos in 11 three-story buildings in eastern Baltimore County.

Prices start at $87,990 for a first-floor front unit with 1,100 square feet of living space.

There is a 14-by-21-foot living room, 10-by-7-foot dining/sun room, laundry room, 8-by-9-foot kitchen, coat closet, 10-by-14-foot master bedroom and 9-by-12-foot second bedroom.

Two full baths and a 14-by-15-foot master bedroom come with the 1,260-square-foot condos located at the first-floor rear or on the second or third floor. Third-floor homes also feature cathedral ceilings for $102,990.

Gas heat is standard.

Models are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Take Interstate 95 to Route 43 east, to a right on Perry Hall Boulevard, to a left on Southfield Drive, to the model on the left.
