Buck's 3 goals lead Towson by Duke

Amy Buck (Mount de Sales) scored three goals as Towson State defeated Duke, 10-8, in a women's lacrosse game yesterday in Durham, N.C.

Towson (2-2) led 6-2 at halftime before Duke (1-5) rallied within 9-8 in the first 10 minutes of the second half, sparked by two goals from Claire DiLorenzo.

But Towson's Sara Pokrywka scored with 1: 45 left.

Mary Washington 16, St. Mary's 8: Eliza Huber scored six goals and Liza Barber had five to lead visiting Mary Washington (5-0, 1-0) past St. Mary's (1-1, 0-1) in a Capital Athletic Conference game. Gia Trionfo, Misty Uhlfelder and Kristy Metz each scored twice for St. Mary's.


Mary Washington 14, Lynchburg 10: Senior attack Bill McLean (Towson) scored three goals and added an assist to become Mary Washington's all-time leading scorer with 133 points, helping the Eagles win in Lynchburg, Va. McLean, who has 10 goals this season, has career totals of 112 goals and 21 assists.
