Westminster man arrested during a police drug raid

A Westminster man was released on his own recognizance after he was arrested Wednesday evening during a drug raid at his residence in the first block of Carroll View Ave.

City police said they found an undisclosed quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the dwelling.

Arrested was Leland Taylor Barksdale 3rd, 20.

Police

Westminster: Westminster Elementary School officials told city police Monday that someone damaged playground equipment at the school in the 800 block of Uniontown Road between 2: 30 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday. The damage was estimated at $100.

Westminster: An employee of Westminster Cemetery told city police Tuesday that someone knocked over six headstones between March 11 and Tuesday. The damage was estimated at $150.

Fire

Westminster: Firefighters from Westminster and Reese responded at 10: 40 a.m. Wednesday for a fire alarm in the first block of Monroe St. Units were out 24 minutes.

Westminster: Westminster and Reese firefighters responded at 12: 42 p.m. Wednesday for a fire alarm in the 400 block of Englar Road. Units were out three minutes.

Westminster: Westminster firefighters responded at 2: 34 a.m. yesterday for a lockout detail in the 200 block of E. Main St. Units were out 31 minutes.
