Police arrested a Baltimore County man Wednesday and charged him with stealing meat worth $52 from an Edgewater Safeway, county police said.
Howard Dorsey Everley, 65, of Ohio Avenue in Baltimore Highlands was charged with theft. He was released on his own recognizance yesterday.
Randy Easterling, a security guard for the store in the first block of Mayo Road, told police he saw a man go to the meat section about 7: 30 p.m., pick up six packages of steaks and conceal them in his jacket. When the man left the store without paying, Mr. Easterling held him for police.
