Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Burglary/arrest: A 59-year-old man was arrested in the Sunday burglary of My Sister's Place in the 100 block of W. Mulberry St. No property was taken but police found cocaine on the man. Charges of burglary, destruction of property and possession of narcotics were pending against the resident of the Wentworth Arms Apartments in the 300 block of Cathedral St.

Robbery try: A gunman tired to rob the Elson's parking garage in the 300 block of S. Charles St. yesterday but fled before he got any money.

Theft from auto: A cellular phone, a walkie-talkie and a radar detector, all valued at more than $1,300, were stolen Monday from a 1995 Toyota 4-Runner parked in the 1000 block of N. Charles St.

Northeastern District

Shooting/arrest: A woman was shot in the chest Monday by a man she knows during an incident at her home in the 1600 block of E. 33rd St. She was in serious condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The man was arrested and charges of attempted murder and other offenses were pending.

Theft: A lap-top computer valued at $2,000 was stolen Monday from a house in the 3400 block of Greenway.

Western District

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of $43 Monday in the 100 block of N. Amity St.

Burglary: Gold jewelry valued at more than $3,000 was stolen Monday from a house in the 1700 block of N. Bentalou St.

Eastern District

Shooting: A gunman forced his way into a dwelling in the 900 block of N. Castle St. yesterday morning and shot a 38-year-old male resident several times in the upper body. The victim was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A 22-year-old man was shot in the chest yesterday as he left a liquor store in the 5100 block of Park Heights Ave. The victim was driven by a friend to Sinai Hospital, where he was in fair condition.

North Point Precinct

Theft: On Monday, a woman was changing her baby's diaper in a restroom at the Golden Corral restaurant in the 7800 block of Eastern Blvd. when someone reached into the diaper bag and stole a cellular phone valued at $500.

Theft vehicle: Stereo speakers and compact discs, all valued at $2,000, were stolen Monday from a 1987 Jeep in the 7200 block of Sollers Point Road.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: A cash register valued at $800 was stolen Monday from the House of Kabob in the 8000 block of Harford Road.

Burglary: Property valued at more than $3,000 was stolen Monday from an outdoor storage shed in the 12200 block of Kingswood Lane.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking two men who entered the Towson Washmobile in the 900 block of York Road through a rear window Monday and stole several cartons of cigarettes and a radio, all valued at more than $100.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Property valued at more than $2,000 was stolen Monday from a garage in the 11500 block of Hunters Run Drive.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the first block of Cavan Drive on Monday through a rear door and stole more than $1,000.
