Bandit steals cash from restaurant

March 19, 1996

A man who did not show a weapon robbed a Glen Burnie Subway restaurant Saturday of an undisclosed amount of money, county police said.

The man entered the store in the 7400 block of Ritchie Highway shortly before 11 p.m. and demanded money from the cashier, police said.

The man implied that he had a weapon. The clerk, who was alone in the shop, gave the man the money in the register. The bandit ran to a late-1980s model Buick Regal in the parking lot and drove off, police said.

Police do not have a detailed description of the culprit.
