North Laurel pizza shop is robbed at gunpoint

An armed robber vaulted over the counter of a North Laurel pizza shop Saturday evening and took money before fleeing, Howard County police said.

Two Pizza Express employees were unharmed.

The man entered the business in the 9100 block of All Saints Road about 5: 20 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money from employees. He jumped over the counter, took an undisclosed amount from the register and ran, police said.

Investigators said he may have fled in a small green vehicle.

The suspect was described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 175 pounds. He had a light mustache and beard and wore a dark-blue hooded coat, black jeans and black tennis shoes, police said.
