Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Burglary/arrest: A 36-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested Sunday after he entered the Blue Sky Restaurant in the 200 block of Park Ave. and stole two cases of potato chips valued at $80. When police responded to an alarm at the restaurant, they found blood on a broken window. They spotted a man a short distance from the restaurant whose hand was bleeding. After receiving treatment for the injury, the man was arrested. He faces charges of burglary and malicious destruction of property.

Robbery attempt/arrest: A 42-year-old resident of the 1500 block of W. Mount Royal Ave. was near his home yesterday when a man pushed him down and tried to rob him. Later, police arrested a 38-year-old resident of the 1800 block of W. Saratoga St. and were holding him pending charges of attempted robbery and assault.

Northeastern District

Stolen vehicle: A 1990 Dodge van with tags 488453M was stolen Sunday in the 4300 block of Shamrock Ave.

Stolen truck: A red 1995 Toyota pickup truck with tags 827331M was stolen Sunday in the 2600 block of Kirk Ave.

Western District

Shooting: A 22-year-old man was in the 1900 block of N. Fulton Ave. Sunday when a gunman shot him several times in the left hand and back. The victim was in stable condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Burglary: A wide-screen television valued at $800 was stolen Sunday from a house in the 1900 block of Wheeler Ave.

Theft/arrest: A 33-year-old man was arrested Sunday as he tried to leave the McCrory Store in the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Ave. without paying for nearly $70 worth of women's underwear.

Burglary: A microwave oven, battery charger, radio, calculator and a telephone, all valued at more than $700, were stolen Sunday from an office in the 1900 block of Elgin Ave.

Robbery: On Sunday in the 200 block of N. Fremont Ave., two men, one with a handgun, robbed a 34-year-old resident of the 800 block of W. Lexington St. of $150, a cellular phone, tapes and a watch, all valued at more than $400.

Southwestern District

Stolen vehicle: A four-door 1993 maroon Dodge with tags AFE 088 was stolen Sunday in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave.

Shooting: A 37-year-old resident of the 2500 block of Hollins St. nTC was in the first block of S. Catherine St. Sunday when he heard several gunshots and felt a pain in his left leg. The victim was treated at Bon Secours Hospital for a bullet wound and released.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a 72-year-old man of $20 in the first block of Hazlett Ave. Sunday.

Towson Precinct

Burglary/arrests: Police arrested two youths Sunday who entered a garage in the 1600 block of Falls Road the same day and stole two all-terrain vehicles valued at more than $1,000. It was not immediately known if the vehicles were recovered.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered the Hair Cuttery in the 2800 block of Smith Ave. through a rear door Sunday and stole nearly $300 from a cash drawer.
