75 years ago Yesterday, after a thorough inspection by Col. J. C. Gilmore, Jr., Camp Meade was ruled out of the running as the new site for the engineering plant of the Aviation Service of the army, now located at Dayton, Ohio. The Sun, March 9, 1921.

W. Stuart Symington, Jr. has bought Gibson's Island at the mouth of the Magothy River in Anne Arundel County for $165,000. E. H. Bouton, the developer of Roland Park, will be in general charge of the proposed development with Frederick Law Olmsted, the architect. The Sun, March 16, 1921.
