Fire company seeks help in effort to raise funds

The Lineboro Volunteer Fire Company is asking the community to help it raise money by tossing empty aluminum cans into the recycling bin behind the firehouse, on Main Street.

Fire Chief John Krebs said anybody can drop cans into the wire bin. The fire company sells the cans to raise money to buy and maintain equipment and for training programs.

Hampstead: Hampstead, Manchester, Westminster and Glyndon of Baltimore County responded at 3: 49 a.m. Tuesday to a house fire in the 2300 block of Hampstead-Mexico Road. Units were out 45 minutes.

Hampstead: Hampstead, Manchester and Arcadia of Baltimore County responded at 10 p.m. Monday to a chimney fire in the 4000 block of Farm Woods Lane. Units were out 48 minutes.

Lineboro: Lineboro responded at 1: 46 a.m. Tuesday to rescue a horse that could not get up after tangling its legs at the barn entrance in the 4300 block of York Road. Units were out 34 minutes.
