Sister Ernestine Moscati, 75, teacher, principal

Sister Ernestine Moscati, S.S.N.D., an educator, died of cancer Saturday at Villa Assumpta, the motherhouse of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. She was 75.

Born Camille Moscati in Baltimore, she graduated from Seton High School in 1939, then entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame.

As an educator for 53 years, Sister Ernestine, who earned a bachelor of science in education from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, specialized in language arts. She was a teacher and principal at schools in Baltimore City, Cumberland, Frederick, Bel Air and Annapolis.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today at Villa Assumpta, 6401 N. Charles St.

Survivors include three brothers, Joseph Moscati of Reisterstown, Anthony Moscati of Baldwin and Robert Moscati of Woodlawn; and two sisters, Eunice Henritz of Ocean View, Del., and Irene Taylor of Springfield, Ark.
