Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Central District

Robbery: Two suspects, one with a handgun, entered a McDonald's restaurant in the 500 block of W. Franklin St. and demanded money from a cashier. They escaped with $98.54.

Northeastern District

Stolen car: A 1991 Gold Plymouth Acclaim -- with Maryland tags BKY169 -- was stolen in the 1300 block of Winston Ave. after 10 p.m. Friday.

Robbery: Two men entered a 7-Eleven store in the 4400 block of Belair Road shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, one implying that he had a gun. He told the clerk to give him money. The two men, who took about $40, left and got into a dark blue four-door sedan with two other men inside. They drove south on Belair Road.

Burglary: A Montgomery Ward lawn mower, valued at $250, was stolen between 1: 30 p.m. and 4: 45 p.m. Saturday from a garage in the 3700 block of Loch Raven Blvd.

Burglary: Someone broke into an apartment in the 6500 block of Walther Ave. on Friday or Saturday and took $4,450 in cash and jewelry, including diamond rings and a gold wedding band.

Southern District

Stolen car: A 1991 Dodge Shadow was stolen between 11: 15 p.m. Saturday and 6: 15 a.m. yesterday in the 700 block of S. Charles St.

Stolen car: A 1989 Mitsubishi was stolen between 9: 45 p.m. Saturday and 1: 45 a.m. yesterday in the 3500 block of S. Hanover St.

Burglary: Someone broke into a home in the 1300 block of Cleveland St. and stole a Sony portable radio and packaged meats, all valued at $329, between 4: 30 p.m. Saturday and 12: 20 a.m. yesterday.

Carjacking: A man driving a 1990 Dodge Daytona in the 1500 block of S. Hanover St. was at a stop sign about 4: 30 p.m. Friday when three men, one with a handgun, told him to get out and drove off in his car.

Catonsville Precinct

Recovered stolen car: A 1992 Dodge Spirit with tags CVS 765 that was stolen Nov. 22 at Benson and Pine Heights avenues behind St. Agnes Hospital in Southwest Baltimore was recovered at 11 a.m. yesterday at Southwestern Boulevard and Knecht Avenue.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: Someone followed a customer in a store in the 800 block of Goucher Blvd. about 9 a.m. Saturday, then to the parking lot, where the person demanded money. The robber took $20.

Attempted murder: An inmate at the Baltimore County Detention Center tried to cut the throat of another inmate with a makeshift knife before 3 p.m. Saturday, but stabbed him in the head, not seriously injuring him.

White Marsh Precinct

Stolen car: A 1991 black Chrysler LeBaron with tags CMN 387 was stolen from a parking lot in the 7900 block of Belair Road between 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. yesterday.

North Point Precinct

Theft: After the night cash receipts at Bally's Aladdin's Castle at Eastpoint Mall were totaled shortly after midnight Saturday, it was discovered that $200 was missing.

Theft: Someone smashed a driver's side window of a Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. truck in a parking lot in the 2300 block of North Point Blvd. and stole a cellular telephone between 10 p.m. and 10: 30 p.m. Saturday.

Destruction of property: The owner of a 1986 Pontiac Gran Am parked in the 7300 block of Alvah Ave. discovered that the right front tire and both rear tires had been slashed between 10 p.m. and 11: 30 p.m. Saturday. The damage was estimated at $120.
