March 10, 1996

Opponent: Atlanta Hawks

Site: USAir Arena, Landover

Time: 3 p.m.

TV/Radio: HTS/WWLG (1360 AM), WTEM (570 AM) joined in progress

Outlook: The Bullets get their first glimpse of the new-look Hawks, who acquired F Christian Laettner and C Sean Rooks just before last month's trading deadline. The Hawks (34-26) are tied for the fourth-best record in the Eastern Conference and take a two-game winning streak into today. G/F Stacey Augmon has missed three straight games with a sprained left ankle. The Bullets' Chris Whitney, who last week signed a 10-day contract, will move into the rotation as the backup point guard. G Ledell Eackles is questionable because of a chipped bone in his left wrist. The Bullets have split their two games with the Hawks this season. After today the Bullets play their next two at Chicago and New Jersey.
